As always, those additions are a breath of new air, but the core is the same. The fighting system we all know and love is back, which some new additions. Unfortunately, there is nothing much to do there, except for the Riddler trophies, which are fun and interesting, but don't quite cover the possibilities. Extremely well-designed and fun to explore. This is a worthy continuation to the Arkham franchise in terms of scope, overall polish, and new additions. Overall, as a general gaming experience: 8/10

Everything else about it is well worth it though.īig Reveal: Was surprised only by the fact that they actually did exactly what I told myself, "No they wouldn't do something that obvious."īatmobile: Turned the game into GTA Gotham City (9/10) Just not very compelling puzzles, and they REALLY pushed the Batmobile everywhere they could (granted.the Batmobile was freakin' cool). I simply don't want to do all of the Riddler challenges in this one, nor did I in Origins. I 100%-ed both Asylum and City (a few DLC achievements notwithstanding) but have no interest in 100%-ing this one. That being said, again this does not quite live up to City. It's got plenty to do without taking up too much of your time, introduces fun Batmobile mechanics, and the updated graphics and lack of loading screens impressed me. I'd say it ties with Asylum for my second-favorite gameplay experience (we'll just forget about Origins). Okay so nothing can really live up to Arkham City but this is still a great installment in the series.
